There is also small villages and cities, among them the region capital, Ålesund, which is an amazing city. After the huge fire in 1904, it completely rebuilt and is now famous for its characteristic Art Nuveau style.

This area has also been locations for numerous films, such as Black Widow and Mission Impossible, among others.
